drupa. The world's largest trade show for print media. A hub for companies from the packaging industry once every 4 years. Cancellation of the trade show seemed unimaginable. And yet it happened.
But fortunately, there is the internet. And now drupa can take place after all. Although in a completely different way: shorter and virtually. That's how it will be. And of course we will be there and looking forward to your visit!
The year 2020 turned out to be different. Different to what we all thought it would be. Corona changed everything. Had a strong impact on the event landscape. Unfortunately, even drupa the most important international trade show for the packaging industry, could not take place on-site because of the pandemic. Initially, it had been postponed from 2020 to 2021. But now it's clear: drupa 2021 will not be held on-site. But virtually. From April 20-23, everything at drupa.com will center on packaging.
At the beginning of 2020, we at Marbach were in the middle of the trade show preparations, and already had done extensive organizing and planning. But then along came Corona. We were flexible and quickly adapted to the situation. Started to organize web sessions and set up our new knowledge platform Experience Hub for you.
Trade fair organizers also had to be creative. And so, in the end, Messe Düsseldorf decided to let drupa 2021 take place virtually. For the 4 days of the trade show, everything will center on packaging. We will of course be present and provide you with exciting information about die-cutting packaging. On the virtual drupa platform, you as a visitor, will be digitally linked to us as exhibitors via the online areas "Exhibition Space", "Conference Area" and "Networking Plaza". This will allow us to interact live and present our latest developments to you online.
Here is a brief overview of our exhibition highlights:
Marbach DZL|plate. For significantly reduced make-ready times.
The DZL|plate, in standard format or as DZL|plateXL for large-format machines, permanently compensates for unevenness in the cutting platen and so significantly reduces make-ready times and increases productivity in the production of packaging. For more information about the DZL|plate and the DZL|plateXL, visit our Experience Hub. (more)
Marbach calibration tool. For reliable die-cutting processes. And short set-up times.
The calibration tool ensures perfect coordination of all stations of a die-cutting machine as well as all male and female tools within the individual stations. For process reliability in the overall process and shorter make-ready times for each individual job. You can find out more about the new calibration tool on our Experience Hub. (more)
Marbach Performance Package. For maximum productivity in packaging production.
An unbeatable package for maximum performance in packaging production: Marbach experts record and analyze the set-up of several jobs including the machine environment at the customer's site. Based on this, optimization and saving potentials are determined and an individual package of measures is developed for the customer. For perfect processes, short set-up times and best die-cutting results: the Marbach Performance Package. More information about the Marbach Performance Package can be found on our Experience Hub. Marbach alublanker. Highest precision in blanking.
This female blanker is completely made of aluminum. This means that the alublanker not only looks smart, but can also be completely CNC processed and equipped with special features such as three-dimensional chamfered edges in running direction. All in one piece. The advantages are obvious: excellent sheet run, smooth further processing and optimized handling thanks to low weight. For best performance in blanking.
Marbach marbazero. Perfect positioning in the die-cutting station for short make-ready times.
marbazero ensures that the steel counter plate fits perfectly to the cutting-die. This system consists of a special steel counter plate and a matching distance plate. These are constructed in such a way that they can be positioned very quickly and precisely in relation to each other. This considerably reduces the make-ready process drastically. An indispensable purchase for repeat jobs.
Marbach thinplate for combo stamping. Incredibly fast for repeat jobs.
The thinplate system stands for maximum efficiency in the production process of packaging with combo stamping. The trick: the hot foil stamping plates are pre-assembled on a special steel plate where they can be archived. This means that the plates do not have to be set-up again for each repeat job. This is fast and saves valuable set-up time. For efficient combo stamping.

The quality of a creasing is crucial for the appearance, functionality and further processing of a folding carton. For perfect creasing, every cutting-die needs its matching counterpart.
But which counter material is right for you? We have the answer. And the right counter plate. Whether matrix, rillma or steel counter plate for the best creasing performance.share More
The future is here! Digitalization and Industry 4.0 are trends that can no longer be ignored. But how should a non-digital process - like the production of packaging - be digitalized?
It's simple: we pave the way to the digital future of die-cutting for you. For smooth processes. Short make-ready times. And a clear goal: to arrive in Industry 4.0. Here you will find more information and two free web sessions.share More
A hotfoiling die for packaging embellishment must be perfectly positioned. Whether flat or fluted, the positioning must match the layout. Unfortunately, in practice positioning is a very time-consuming process.
Our solution: the thinplate system. On this special steel plate, you can adjust and archive the embossing position during hotfoiling. This saves you valuable set-up time for each repeat job.share More
