Embossing applications place special demands on the die-cutting process – especially when it comes to positioning and transferring male embossing dies. In practice, a wide variety of methods are used for this purpose, some involving improvised tools. This often leads to increased time expenditure and makes it difficult to achieve a consistently reliable process. Transferring to the cutting plate in particular often involves uncertainties – for example, if a male embossing die is not positioned correctly, gets stuck in the female embossing die, or pressure differences prevent all male embossing dies from being transferred at the same time. A standardized and reproducible process is almost impossible to achieve under such conditions.

This is exactly where the Magnetic Transfer System (MTS-SQS) comes in. It offers a simple, reliable, and standardized solution for positioning and transferring male embossing dies. Special magnets are located in the female embossing die. Precision discs ensure that the male embossing die is positioned exactly and securely fixed in place. The transfer is completely magnetic. No additional aids or manual corrections are required, and there is no risk of damaging the cutting-die or, in particular, the cutting rules due to incorrect transfer.

Handling is extremely simple: set up, adjust, done. Even for follow-up orders, assuming nothing from the initial order is archived, the male embossing die can be quickly and reliably returned to its position – this not only saves set-up time, but also significantly increases process reliability. There is no need for compensating materials such as cardboard strips, or for time-consuming manual readjustments.

The MTS-SQS can be expanded with additional products as needed. These provide additional support for the process and ensure even greater efficiency in daily use:
